There are so many benefits to sewing and making.  There's nothing like the feeling of having made something with your own hands.  Sewing helps children and adults build problem solving, fine motor and math skills.  I also think it helps with focus and stress relief.  When focused on a project, sometimes the stresses of the day just fade away

At Crosscut Sewing, my goal is to provide tools, supplies, videos and patterns to make sewing fun and easy.  I are here to support your creative journey.  My exclusive sewing patterns and kits are designed to be easy to follow and fun to sew for beginners and seasoned sewists.

About the Owner

Hi, I'm Stephanie!  My background is in marketing and web design but when I was expecting my second daughter, I decided to learn to sew.  I was hooked from the first stitch!  I was working from home as a graphic designer and started an Etsy business on the side. Eventually, I started selling fabric as well. I love teaching others to sew and I started releasing patterns and tutorials on my website and teaching at local shops. I decided to pursue this business full time and open a brick and mortar location so I could set up my own studio space. In 2020, I launched a line of beginner friendly sewing kits and a new direction for Crosscut Sewing Co. was born!  In 2022, I moved into a studios space dedicated to manufacturing sewing kits. Now, as the sole focus at Crosscut Sewing Co., my kits can be found here, in many amazing fabric & gift shops, Etsy, Michaels, Faire and Amazon.

My goal is to make it easy to learn to sew.  My kits extend the Crosscut experience to anyone who wants to sew at home.  I also have a full learn to sew workshop available if you are brand new to sewing.
